Mississippi FCA Announces new Campus Director at Ole Miss

FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES ANNOUNCES SCOTT WEATHERSBY 
AS OLE MISS FCA CAMPUS DIRECTOR.


(Ridgeland, MS) – The Mississippi Fellowship of Christian Athletes is proud to announce Scott Weathersby of Hattiesburg, MS, as the Ole Miss FCA Campus Director, effective July 1.

Weathersby has served with FCA as an Area Representative in Lafayette, Panola and Tate counties and as a Campus Chaplain on the Ole Miss Campus.

“I have known Scott since he arrived his freshman year at Ole Miss. He is well respected and loved by the Ole Miss family and has made a difference for Christ in many lives as a student and FCA Staff. I'm excited for what God will do in and through him on the Ole Miss campus.” – Todd Johnson, outgoing Campus Director.

As Campus Director, Weathersby will create and sustain the plan to grow the FCA Ministry on campus through Board, Donor and Staff development.

Scott grew up in Hattiesburg, MS, and has been involved in sports ever since he can remember. He has been involved with FCA while at Ole Miss where he served as President in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. He played college baseball at Ole Miss from 2011-2015 and was part of the 2014 College World Series team. In 2015, he got nominated as a finalist for the Boo Ferris award, given to the best collegiate baseball player in the state. He graduated in 2015 and received his bachelor’s degree in Biology.

In June of 2015, Scott was drafted in the 10th Round by the Houston Astros. He played from June through September in Short Season Single A in Albany, New York. Since his return in the middle of September 2015, he has been on staff with FCA at Ole Miss as well as working alongside high schools and middle schools in Lafayette, Panola, and Tate counties.
