FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES ANNOUNCES JIMMY GILFORD
AS MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY FCA CAMPUS DIRECTOR.
(Ridgeland, MS) – The Mississippi Fellowship of Christian Athletes is proud to announce Jimmy Gilford, of Taneytown, MD, as the Mississippi State University FCA Campus Director, effective May 1.
Gilford has served with FCA for 3 years as an Area Representative and Campus Representative on MSU’s campus and one year as an Area Director for District 4 FCA.
“Mississippi State has become like family for my wife, Mary Kathryn, and I, and we are excited to serve full-time on the MSU campus. Being a Bulldog means to possess work ethic, integrity, and excellence in all things! I look forward to partnering with our coaches and athletes in each of their endeavors.” Jimmy Gilford
As Campus Director, Gilford will create and sustain the plan to grow the FCA Ministry on campus through Board, Donor and Staff development.
Jimmy grew up in Taneytown, MD and played baseball for Frederick Community College in Maryland (2008-09) and Belhaven University (2010-11). He was a standout outfielder at Belhaven University and was named to the GCAC All-Conference and Gold Glove team. Gilford was nominated for the 2011 Cellular South Boo Ferriss Trophy, which is awarded annually to Mississippi’s top college baseball player.
He graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science and followed that with a Master’s in Exercise Physiology. Gilford worked for Mississippi State as a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant for two years, which included the 2013 World Series team.
