The Bill Buckner FCA Luncheon

Thirty-two years ago influencers in Mississippi gathered in the late Spring for The First Annual FCA Wild Game Luncheon.  At that time Mississippi FCA had one staff person, the late Bill Buckner.  Over the course of 27 years with Bill at the helm, then under the guidance of Josh Gilreath, and now with Bill Buckley leading Mississippi FCA, our staff has grown into a ministry with over 42 staff that is impacting more than 30,000 Mississippi Athletes and Coaches on a weekly basis.

Late in his life Bill said, "We don't want another graduating class in Mississippi to finish without being challenged by the gospel." To honor the legacy of Bill Buckner, the event is now called “The Bill Buckner FCA Luncheon”.

While a lot has changed over the years, one thing has certainly not changed; God has used this luncheon to be the springboard for the FCA ministry in our state.  If you like athletics and you believe in God’s commandment for us to “go and make disciples”, then you don’t won’t to miss this luncheon. Your prayers and support of this event are critical to the success of FCA in Mississippi. Make plans to join other influencers of our state as we rally our hearts together for the cause of Christ.
